This Provincial Park was developed for the 1988 Olympics. It features spectacularly groomed cross-country ski trails ranging from quiet forest routes to challenging, world-class biathlon trails. Night skiing is along a 6.5 km illuminated track. In summer, the single track mountain biking trails for rookies or experts make Canmore one of the top centres in North America. The 70 kilometres (38 miles) of mapped trails give cyclists and hikers a chance to view wildlife such as deer, bears and cougars while viewing some astounding scenery. Aside from biking, visitors can participate in an 18-hole disc golf course or four orienteering courses.
