The initial focus on the walk is developing the skills of Nordic walking. Think of it as cross-country skiing without the skis! Nordic walking burns mega-calories compared to just walking while the use of poles also promotes great posture, off-loads stress from hips and knees and provides exceptional stability on all terrain, from city streets to mountain peaks. In addition to acquiring the basics of Nordic walking technique, there is lots of opportunity to explore and learn about this unique mountain town and all the unforgettable experiences it has to offer. Outings are between 1 hr and 15 min. and 2 hours, suitable for people of all abilities from 12 years of age and up. Think of it as gentle adventure for mind, body and soul. Custom tours are available for groups of 4 to 10.

This Provincial Park was developed for the 1988 Olympics. It features spectacularly groomed cross-country ski trails ranging from quiet forest routes to challenging, world-class biathlon trails. Night skiing is along a 6.5 km illuminated track. In summer, the single track mountain biking trails for rookies or experts make Canmore one of the top centres in North America. The 70 kilometres (38 miles) of mapped trails give cyclists and hikers a chance to view wildlife such as deer, bears and cougars while viewing some astounding scenery. Aside from biking, visitors can participate in an 18-hole disc golf course or four orienteering courses.
